Tribal Turquoise - Fire Mountain Gems Winner!

With this necklace, I won First Place in the 2008  Freeform Expression - Jewelry category of the annual Fire Mountain Gems jewelry making contest. The necklace was modeled in their catalog. I made the necklace from copper zebra wire (18 gauge, 20 gauge, and 24 gauge) and turquoise beads (long teardrops, tube beads, barrels, and tiny nuggets). I designed the donut-shaped medallions on paper first, then figured out how to make them. I didn't use any ready-made findings. Even the two clasps were made from wire.
